Yes, it has support for GCAM Mods as all devices launched with Android 8 must support camera 2api.
But there is a catch.
All GCAM Mods are developed for Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs. But the Redmi Note 8 pro has MediaTek's G90T.
It is possible to develop a GCAM mod for Mediatek SoC but a developer needs to put extra effort into it. Also, it will need a good amount of time to be tweaked. So don't expect a Great GCam version for Redmi Note 8 pro anytime soon.
However, given the popularity of Redmi Note series Devices, it is very likely that there will be good third-party development.
